“To make New York City more affordable we need to require that any development receiving City benefits builds apartments that working New Yorkers can afford to live in. The Flushing Commons project as it currently stands does not meet that goal because it does not create any units of affordable housing. We need to improve this project by requiring an affordable housing component so it can meet the standards of responsible development we need in New York City.”
